James Robertson’s London intranet workshop

James Robertson’s London intranet workshop

Of all the authors, conference speakers, and intranet doyens you’ve heard of, surely James Robertson stands out, if only because of his scarcity!

James will be over from Australia for a short time, and so his workshop in March may be your only opportunity to learn from him this year.

James’ books on intranet design influenced my approach when I was planning the new intranet for Severn Trent Water, and I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with him many times over the years since. Don’t miss your chance to pick his brain.

James influences intranet design in many ways. As the founder of Step Two in Australia, there’s his company’s design services, and the annual Intranet and Digital Workplace Awards (the new name for the Intranet Innovation Awards). Then there’s James’ books, all three of which are on my shelf, and the first one is dog-eared and signed (because I’m a fanboy like that).

If you want to enhance your existing intranet, or plan your new platform, to be truly useable and useful, then please act now to get your ticket. Our early-bird prices end on Friday (yes, Friday 12th Feb) but will certainly sell out sooner.

Have no fear, our standard ticket prices are very reasonable, and we encourage you to bring a colleague so you can benefit from our Team Rate pricing and get deep into practical discussions about your organisation’s intranet.

Check the agenda, and note the ‘Design Clinic’ in the afternoon. James asks that you bring screenshots or draft designs of your intranet.

Come along to get:

  • solid understanding of key UX techniques you can immediately apply to your site;
  • new approaches for tackling common design challenges;
  • fresh ideas for delivering sophisticated intranets that work;
  • invaluable opportunity to get feedback on your design during the afternoon clinic.
