dxw

dxw have built intranets for Department of Communities and Local Government, Ministry of Justice, Consumer Council for Water, Defra, Office of National Statistics, and the Department of Health, among others.

We’ve all had to use terrible intranets in previous roles and are keen to save others from the horror of those experiences. To that end, the starting point of all of our projects is user needs: what do your staff use the intranet for, and why?

Intranets are often large, complicated and deeply political projects. A good intranet requires tough decisions: less is usually more, and that means challenging the status quo. It’s helpful to be able to look to the evidence for the answers and experiment with novel ideas, and agile makes this a cinch. We start with users, work in sprints, release early and often, and test every step of the way to make sure that we’re building things that work.
